Q: Hi, I'm a seeker,
someone looking for some peace and answers. Is Feng Shui part
of the answer? I'm not sure, but I'd like to explore it. Can
you maybe give me some tips on getting started? Are there specific
books or articles that I should turn to first? Thank you! -Nichole
A: Hi Nicole! I am very
glad that you are looking for peace in your life. Is Feng Shui
part of the answer? I do not know your specifics and can only
talk about myself and clients who do think that Feng Shui is
at least a part of the puzzle of "life on earth."
Feng Shui is about having your environment, home and office,
serve you. It is about "going with the flow" instead
of "pushing the river." Feng Shui is a problem-solving
tool. A space that has had the values of Feng Shui applied to
it is noticeable by not only the occupant, but to all who enter.
"Peace" is one of the greatest things one hears about
a place that has had Feng Shui applied to it. What I recommend
is that you read the book, Move
your Stuff, Change Your Life by Karen Rauch Carter.
If you find yourself excited by the concepts and a passion to
take action regarding the Feng Shui principles, I would suggest
that Feng Shui can indeed serve you. Then I suggest more education--my
website at www.homepeace.com has a free monthly newsletter,
back issues of newsletters, articles, and a bibliography
of more books in the Black Hat Feng Shui tradition. Do make
sure you stay with one school in your studies of Feng Shui--it
will make the process of learning much less confusing. Hope
this helps--Gabrielle
