of some of the questions she has answered....
Q: How did you
get involved in interior design to be your job? - Carlye
A: Dear Carlye--Many people
have told me how lucky I am! My job is not boring, it is never
the same, and I choose my own hours. Interior Design, however,
really is not my business. I am a Feng Shui consultant, and
Interior Design fits inside that title. I do suggest stylistic,
color, and furniture changes often, but they are more from a
Feng Shui perspective instead of an Interior Design perspective.
Fortunately, when one makes Feng Shui changes to the home or
office, there is an artistry and balance as if one had a decorator
in the place.
I started Feng Shui education back when Feng Shui first came
to America in a more public way--my school is the Black Hat
Tibetan Feng Shui and it was brought to America by Master Lin
Yun in 1983. I was there. Now today, there are many educational
venues for the seeker of Feng Shui. I don't
know where you live, but there are schools from all the different
perspectives of Feng Shui now available. Research on the internet
will bring you many ideas. Also, if you feel like you are aligned
to the particular perspective that I do, you may go to my site
at homepeace.com and find a bibliography
of books that I recommend. Starting to read about the subject,
making sure you stay
involved with only one school of Feng Shui will be educational
as well as not as confusing. Hope this helps...P.S. I
also have a biography on my
site that will tell you more specifics about my particular education--Sincerely,
Gabrielle Alizay
