Discover Timeless Feng Shui
So you want to know what Feng Shui is and how it can benefit you? First, know that Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art/science that has been practiced for thousands of years. It originated from special "seers" that worked for the Emperor, finding the most suitable plot of earth on which to build the royal castle. Think beautiful foliage, a meandering stream, and protective hillsides surrounding the site. Good feelings. Eventually the practice moved inside the walls as well, and "rules" were created to insure the most positive responses to one's environment. Now fast forward 3000 years. The mall has been built over the beautiful foliage and the freeway is the only thing that meanders from one point to another. But your home is still your castle. And that is what makes Feng Shui timeless.
The Black Hat Tibetan Feng Shui was brought to America by Master Lin Yun in the early 1980's. It differs from the Compass School Feng Shui in that instead of using directions, complicated numerology, and analytical reasoning, it focuses on where the door resides in your home or office and uses a bagua, an eight sided figure that has an outline similar to an American stop sign, to determine where certain life values symbolically are located in your space. The Black Hat Tibetan Feng Shui focuses on Health, Wealth, Career, Love/Marriage, Children, Self-Cultivation, Reputation, and Helpful People/Travel.
Here is an example of how it can work: let's say that your marriage could be improved. First locate the Love/Marriage position in your house and see what resides there. Let's say that this is where you keep the trashcan! You guessed it--move that trash and instead, place something that has meaning to you in a specially designated place in the Love/Marriage position. It doesn't matter what your style is, what your religion is, or what belief systems you have. What makes it powerful is your intention when you put it in the spot. How about your Career? Going nowhere? Does the front door of your house stick? If this is your Career position when the Feng Shui Bagua is applied (by superimposing the bagua over a bird's eye view diagram of your space), your problem might be solved with a simple house maintenance to fix the door. Then the "doors of opportunity" can easily open for you.
Feng Shui is relatively new in this country, but has centuries of testimonies to back it up. It is a wonderful problem-solving tool as well as making your home feel like a temple, and you the Imperial Royalty.
